September 30

Journal: How has someone sacrificed for you? How have you sacrificed for someone else?

In Class: Today we learned about Sparta- if you were absent you will need to fill out the 'Sparta & Greece Wars' page in your packet (Use PowerPoint under unit 2 tab)

We also wrote 2-Voice poems in class, if you were absent you can come see me for an example. If you know what they are please write a 2-voice poem comparing & Contrasting Athens & Sparta.  It must be 6 lines each.

Homework: Please start on your Greek Books

In Class: Today we finished up the Greek Gods/Goddesses and the note pages about Democracy.  (if you were absent use the PowerPoint under the unit 2 tab, day 2 to finish this)

Homework: I passed back your tests today, and we discussed test corrections: here is the format that you MUST follow

Journal: Tell me everything you know about Greece.

In Class: today we graded our Unit 1 Test- I will hand them back next class period and we will discuss them.  We also started our next unit on Greece.  We made our packets, and filled out the 'Important Greek Facts' sheet.  I also introduced your project for this unit the GREEK BOOK. Instructions can be found under the unit 2 tab here on the blog, or you can come and get one from me!

Homework: Start on your Greek books!

Today was the day of the test!!!!

We turned in packets ( journals + current events) and took the test!!! If you were absent you MUST come in during intervention to get this done.  Your packet is due the day that you return :)

In Class: Today we learned about sources---- what makes something credible, as well as how to write an essay.  We also worked with primary sources, using them to answer questions and understand societies better.  If you were absent, you will need to come in during intervention to make this up!
