Journal: Why do you think your hometown was built where it was?

In Class: We finished off our class competition- Congrats to Krystina :)
We also started talking about one of the first civilizations; Mesopotamia- we discussed what civilizations have in common and what elements they need to flourish and started your Mesopotamia notes.

In class: today we started our unit on Mesopotamia! We watched a documentary on this ancient civilization- if you were absent come see me for a makeup assignment :)

Journal: If you could be a part or witness any event in history what would it be and why?

In Class: Today I collected all the disclosure documents! If you were absent make sure that you bring that to me ASAP.
In class we made our new note packets, if you were absent either print one off here on the blog (under unit 1 tab) or come see me so I can get that for you.  We filled pages 1-2. Use the powerpoint under unit 1 tab labeled 'Pre-History'.  You also created your own civilization- use your notes to help you on that!

Homework: If you didn't finish the create your civilization worksheet, make sure it is finished for next class period!
